In the first half of the 1900s most consultants were sole practioners or partnerships. With increasing levels of private investment and the outsourcing of design services by Government organisations, by the 1990s most consultants were partners/employees of much larger national or international public companies.
The list below is of Consultant organisations that had an office in Perth. The list below does not include all consultants who may have provided services on Western Australian projects, it only includes consultants who had an office in Perth, Western Australia.

Scott and Furphy was formed in 1933 in Melbourne by Ronald M Scott and Harry G Furphy. Following the death of Ronald M Scott and the retirement of Harry G Furphy the new entity Camp, Scott and Furphy Pty Ltd is formed in 1972 with 50% equity from USA company Camp, Dresser, McKee and Scott. Merged with Crook, Michell, Peacock and Stewart in 1991, as Crook, Michell, Peacock, Stewart and Furphy (CMPS&F). Camp Scott and Furphy becomes its environmental arm. In 1997 CMPS&F merged with European engineering firm Scetauroute. |
