Discover some of the important engineering features in and around Adelaide's Central Business District. Starting at the historic Harbours Board Building facing Victoria Square, walkers are taken past historic buildings including the iconic Adelaide General Post Office where the first international telegraph was received on 22 October 1872. Walkers are then taken along the River Torrens with its Weir and bridges ending at the Albert Bridge which opened in 1879. For keen walkers, the Grenfell Street Power and Convertor Stations and the Menz Factory stops are also available.
