Heritage and Conservation Engineering is one of the Areas of Practice recognised by Engineers Australia. Engineers who meet the high standards of skill, qualification and professionalism expected by Engineers Australia are able to apply for registration as a Heritage and Conservation Engineer and if successful are included on the National Engineering Register (NER). The NER is available for anyone to search and a list of registered Heritage and Conservation engineers is available here.

State Heritage Councils

State Governments through their respective heritage councils provide a list of 'heritage engineering experts' on the basis of 'as advice only'. Website addresses for some of the State lists are as follows:
