Engineers Australia (EA) is the trading name for the Institution of Engineers, Australia. The Institution of Engineers, Australia is the national body that was established in 1919, incorporated in 1926 and granted a Royal Charter in 1938. The purpose of Engineers Australia is to advance the science and practice of engineering for the benefit of the community and to promote the interests of professional engineers, technologists and engineering associates. History of Engineers Australia

In 1969 The Institution of Engineers Australia published a book by Arthur Corbett titled A History of the First Fifty Years 1919-1969. This book is available in some university and state libraries (refer Trove at https://trove.nla.gov.au/work/21655768 for locations).

During formation of the Institution in 1919, special rules applied during the period of the first Council which expired on 31 December 1920. A copy of these rules including membership of First Council and a member application form is available here (3.4 MB).

In various years the Institution used to publish a Statement of Membership and List of Members. A copy of the edition published as at 30th September, 1927 has been scanned and is available here (138 MB). A compressed version is available here (35 MB).
