Australian Maps
EHA's Engineering Heritage Recognition Program maintains a map of the location of all physical markers/interpretation panels in Australia. This map is available from a Google maps titled Engineering Heritage Recognition Program (EHRP).
In addition, all Engineering Heritage State Branches have produced walking/driving tours of various locations, particularly for the central business districts of each State's capital cities.
Booklets for these tours are intended to provide viewers with the ability to be self guided. Maps are included in the booklets. While tours generally start at a specific location, the route is circular and walkers can start and finish anywhere along the route.
For Hobart, Perth and Fremantle, the tours have been developed as an online map with detailed information and images about each site. the online map is designed for use with a tablet or mobile phone and requires internet access while exploring the tour. Tap on any individual site number to learn about that site.
Occasionally Engineering Heritage State Branches undertake guided tours for special events. Enquiries to EHA State Branches can be made via email to heritage.engineersaustralia@gmail.com.
Safety
While exploring, please consider your safety at all times and be especially mindful of vehicles when crossing roads or stepping back to admire our engineering works.
