James Faulkner
FAULKNER, James MEAssNSW, MWAIE (1853-1930)
Born in England, Faulkner served articles with a mechanical engineer, and then worked in England, the United States, Canada, Tasmania with E. Keane (qv), and in New South Wales. After moving to Western Australia as the Engineer to the Perth Gas Company, he became Superintendent of the Perth Water Supply Company in 1892. Appointed Superintending Engineer when these works were acquired by the Government, he became Engineer in a re-organisation in 1909, and resigned in 1912.
A foundation member of the Western Australian Institution of Engineers, his published papers include:
