DAVIES, Watcyn, AWASM AMIEAust (1896-1961)

After graduating from the WA School of Mines at Kalgoorlie with a diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1918 and serving in the AIF, Davies joined the Public Works Department as an Engineer in 1924.

Davies was appointed the Second in charge of the Drawing Office under A L Dent in 1936, and Investigating Engineer under E Tindale in 1938. He became Principal Assistant Mechanical Engineer under C L Henderson in 1946, and became Mechanical and Plant Engineer in this department ten years later.

He died in 1961, while still in office.
