Leighton is now recognised as CIMIC Group Limited. It is an Australian construction contractor working with engineering, infrastructure, building mining and resources. It was founded in 1949 by Stanley Leighton. Leighton purchased Organisation:Thiess in 1983 and John Holland in 2007.
