2025 Young Engineers Shadow Board The Young Engineers Shadow Board has made an incredible impact by giving early-career engineers a real voice in shaping Engineers Australia’s direction. They’ve tackled some of the big issues facing the profession, career development, gender equity and cultural inclusion – bringing forward smart, practical recommendations based on national consultation and lived experience.

Their work has helped remove barriers for migrant engineers, highlighted early-career challenges and championed a more diverse and future-ready workforce. They’ve also influenced major discussions across Engineers Australia from AI to culture reform, making sure young engineers are part of the national conversation.

Through their energy, insight and collaboration, the Young Engineers Shadow Board is helping shape the future of our profession and they are truly deserving of the President’s Prize.

2024 Sydney Migrant Engineers Committee The Sydney Migrant Engineers Committee supports recently migrated or refugee engineers with overseas qualifications. Committee members facilitate connections with established local engineering professionals and create networking opportunities among professionals who have recently moved to Australia as well as migrant engineers with local experience who can provide guidance and advice based on their success.

As part of its impressive remit - the committee has established prolific and successful partnerships with diverse stakeholders and groups. In the last 12 months, Sydney Migrant Engineers has collaborated with Women in Engineering Sydney.
