Francis Gustave Franklyn

Francis Gustave Franklyn was born in 1911 at Lismore. He served in the islands north of Australia during the Second World War as a civil engineer with the Royal Australian Engineers He was Chief Civil Engineer for the State Rail Authority of NSW on the City and Eastern Suburbs Railway, the Newcastle coal loader and the Port Kembla coal loader. He was a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, the Chartered Institute of Transport and the Permanent Way Institution in the United Kingdom.
