BOOTH, Donald Frederick, Electrical Engineer (1853-1937)

Donald Frederick Booth was born in 1853 in Ontario, Canada. In 1877 he was still in Canada having married Annie Ada Eliza Roblin in Ontario that year.

After joining the WAGR in 1894 he was made Assistant Inspector Railway Telephones. On July 1, 1896 he was appointed Assistant Railway Electrician. He was elected a councillor of the City of Perth in 1907. In 1908 he was retrenched and by 1909 he became an Inspector of Machinery in the Mines Department.

In 1922 he retired after 13 years working as a machinery inspector. He moved to Parkerville where he died on July 2, 1937.
