Horace Atwell

ATWELL, Horace (Harold) George AMWAIE (1883-1949)
After joining the Public Works Department as a cadet under C.Y. O'Connor, Atwell became an Engineer in this department in 1906 and was a founding associate member of the WAIE in 1910.
He was an engineer in the country water supply branch of this department under H. Oldham], joined the Engineer's Department of the City of Perth in 1919, and was the City Engineer from 1925 until 1948, when he was succeeded by C.S. Paterson (q.v.).
