Engineers Australia - Queensland Hall of Fame

From Engineering Heritage Australia

Engineering has been pivotal in the development of Queensland, to produce a lifestyle for all to enjoy. We hear much about the planning of Queensland, but little about the underpinning engineering that gave that planning substance. Engineering is also in the forefront of Queensland’s evolution from a public service to a knowledge-based economy. A number of engineers and engineering companies are producing world best practice, innovative ideas, and products and services that are establishing places in world markets.

The intent of the Queensland Hall of Fame is to recognise the accomplishments of engineers in Queensland who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and have made a significant contribution to the community.

Members of the Queensland Hall of Fame are the ‘Best of the Best’. They have made seminal contributions to the engineering profession and to the physical, social and economic development and well being of Queensland. They have been prominent in their profession, in business, Government and in the community. Induction into the Queensland Hall of Fame caps an already remarkable career of achievement and contribution.
